Our lead time is normally between 5 and 10 working days. In the high season(before December holidays) it can increase to six weeks. Make sure to order promptly to avoid delays in your building project.
1.Pre-fabricated trusses are engineered to meet all the design parameters. This can lead to a reduction of up to 40% of timber usage.
2.Pre-fabricated trusses can be guaranteed to be of sufficient strength for a specific application whereas site-made trusses are manufactured by using thumbsuck timber sizes. If site-made trusses are used, an engineer will have to sign-off the roof before an occupation certificate will be issued by the local authorities.
3.Pre-fabricated trusses are manufactured under controlled conditions and saves space on site.
4.Site waste is reduced- It is more difficult to pilfer a complete truss than pieces of loose timber.
5. The erection process is much quicker which saves money on labour and bond costs.
1. Usually the answer is no, but in some instances the roof can be modified/ altered to accommodate extra space in the roof area.
This can be done by adding extra beams( usually laminated beams) to strengthen the ceiling and tile bearing areas. This must be done in consultation with a competent person / Engineer and should not be done by someone without knowledge of strength of materials and truss design.
1. The first criteria to look at is the design/aesthetics of the house. Some designs look better with sheeted roofs than tiled roofs and vice versa.
2. Cost differences: Tiled roofs can be +-5 percent cheaper than chromadek sheeted roofs depending on the roof design.
